Integrity in every build

Ethics & Compliance

Iron Tail is committed to responsible business practices, transparent operations, and strict separation between private work and any public-service responsibilities.

Our Commitment

Iron Tail operates with the understanding that trust is earned through clear boundaries, honest competition, and accountable decision-making. We are committed to conducting business ethically and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

We do not seek advantage through nonpublic information, improper influence, government endorsement, or conflicts of interest. When a potential ethics or compliance concern exists, we seek appropriate guidance before proceeding.

Standards We Follow

Procurement Integrity

We respect lawful procurement processes and do not use protected, source-selection, proprietary, or nonpublic information to gain an unfair advantage.

Conflict Avoidance

We identify and avoid personal, organizational, or financial conflicts that could compromise fairness, objectivity, or public trust.

Clear Separation

We maintain separation between private business activities and any outside employment, public service, or customer responsibilities that may require recusal or review.

Responsible Engineering

We design and build with safety, reliability, maintainability, and real-world use in mind.

Accurate Representation

We do not imply government endorsement, special access, or preferential treatment. Our work stands on capability, quality, and performance.

Documentation & Review

When needed, we document decisions, seek guidance, and pause work until ethics, legal, or customer requirements are understood.

How We Handle Sensitive Opportunities

If a project may involve government-adjacent work, regulated environments, or potential conflicts of interest, Iron Tail reviews the opportunity before accepting work. This may include confirming customer requirements, avoiding restricted information, declining conflicted work, or seeking outside legal or ethics guidance.

Responsible Business Practices

  • No use of nonpublic information for private gain.
  • No improper influence over customer requirements, evaluations, or awards.
  • No implication of official government endorsement.
  • No work accepted where a conflict cannot be resolved responsibly.
  • Transparent communication with customers and partners.

Questions or Concerns

Customers, partners, and suppliers are encouraged to raise questions about ethics, compliance, or project suitability before work begins.
